Better Education for Entrepreneurs Looking to ScaleUp

ScaleUpU is an accredited 12-month executive program similar to the “Birthing of Giants” (BOG) program that Verne Harnish, author of Scaling Up and founder of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), launched over 25 years ago. At present, Verne’s “Entrepreneurial Masters Program” (EMP) is still conducted at the MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Building on the success of EMP, which has educated over 1,500 growth-minded entrepreneurs, ScaleUpU combines the best practices of this program as well as those of Gazelles, a global executive education and coaching firm, into one integrated solution. To date, Gazelles has helped more than 40,000 firms scaleup (several to a £1 billion and beyond) using tools and techniques developed for the EMP.

ScaleUpU Initiative: The ScaleUpU Initiative is highly selective while identifying a limited number of high-potential “gazelles” and focuses resources and efforts to help these companies significantly scaleup their businesses. The Initiative will provide superior educational and coaching resources with the goal of generating significant wealth for local companies and communities.

The 10-year Initiative will select 15 high-potential scaleup companies per year to participate in a proven 12-month educational, coaching, and technology-supported process to address key aspects of scalingup a business (See Components of ScaleUpU).

Schedule: The inaugural ScaleUpU programme in the UK will be launched in London from May 1st - May 4th (Tue - Fri), 2018. ScaleUpU London will host a 3-day On-Campus Summit with learning sessions led by global entrepreneurial pioneer, Verne Harnish, and featuring national speakers. The Summit is exclusively for ScaleUpU participating companies and their respective CEOs and leadership/executive teams. One-day meetings for each company with a ScaleUpU coach will occur on a quarterly basis throughout the 12-month term and subsequent On-Campus sessions will occur in the Spring of 2019 and 2020.
